Hello lovelies, so a blogpost that I'm commonly requested are collection posts. I thought I would share with you snippets of various parts of my collection, rather then showcasing the entire thing. The first one is my M.A.C lipstick collection. Now I love M.A.C, and I know I'm not on my own here. Since training as a MUA, I have extended my range of M.A.C lipsticks. The majority are good quality, longwearing, worth the money etc... Very important factors, that I know you need to consider when purchasing more expensive products.
So without further a do, let's take a sneak peak into my current collection:
From Left to Right:
Cyber, Rebel, Russian Red, Viva Glam Cyndi, Impassioned, Snob, Plink! and Hue.
Out of these my favourites personally are: Russian Red, Impassioned, Snob and Plink! But I still do adore the other colours, but for other people. Take for instance Rebel, scary looking colour when your look at the lipstick itself, but on the lips it's a more pinky purple, suits one of my bestfriends perfectly. Obviously I need an extenstive colour range in my kit, and despite owning quite a few lipsticks I still feel I don't cover the vast colour spectrum enough. After photographing my collection I realised a lot of my lipsticks in my collection are pink toned. There's definitely a lot more out there.
Would I reccommend these lipsticks? Absolutely! I wouldn't say rush out there and buy every single one, but they are definitely worth investing ... if ... and this is a big if! If you can't find a cheaper alternative. Russian red is a beautiful example, I have tried for a while to find a true matte red. High street brands tend to be quite glossy, but this lipstick I fell in love with! But you may not like this, and that's where the textures are important. M.A.C lipsticks come in a range of finishes, just like paper you have your glossy ones, you have your matte ones, you have ones that are more pigmented, trying is key. I know M.A.C stores are far afield but if you are fortunate enough to live by one, I would suggest popping in to try out some of the lipsticks. Colours can also be quite decievenig, I loved the Viva Glam Cyndi when I saw it online, but when it arrived it wasn't pigmented enough for my liking, thats why I fell in love with Impassioned.
If you are interested to invest in a M.A.C lipstick watch YouTube videos showing swatches, or how they look on the lips. I found these really helpful when purchasing most of my products. It really helps you see the better products. Or ones worth spending a little more on.
Anyhow I hope you enjoyed my little sneak peak into my collection, if you own any M.A.C lipsticks what are your favourites? And why?
